The Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV) will host Dr. Abdulrazak Ibrahim — an agricultural biotechnologist and expert at FARA (Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa) — for a public lecture on Monday, May 26, at 11:00 a.m., in the Auditorium of the Prédio das Licenciaturas (PLI), campus Viçosa.
With extensive experience in agricultural innovation and international cooperation, Dr. Abdulrazak will discuss the challenges and opportunities of agricultural research across the African continent. He will also share reflections on his personal journey as an African postgraduate student in Brazil, highlighting the importance of cross-continental collaboration in science and education.
This event marks the opening of Africa Week at UFV, a celebration of African diversity and leadership within the university. The week’s program will include lectures, discussion circles, and cultural activities starting on May 26.
