UFV Opens Applications for Online Courses in Foreign Languages – 2026/2

The Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV) is now accepting applications for the 2026-2 edition of the Courses in Foreign Languages Program. For the second semester of 2026, UFV is offering 15 online courses taught in foreign languages, mainly in English, covering different areas of knowledge at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Who can apply?

The program is open to:

  • Students currently enrolled in higher education institutions (Academic Mobility);
  • Individuals who already hold an undergraduate or bachelor’s degree (Degree Holders).

How to apply

Applications must be submitted exclusively via the online form:

FOR REGULAR UFV STUDENTS:

UFV students who wish to apply must consult their respective graduate programs. Undergraduate students should consult their course coordination office and include the disciplines in their study plans.


 Deadline: May 31th at 8 a.m. (BRT)

All applicants must upload the required documents, including proof of identity, academic transcripts, and a recent photo. Academic mobility candidates must also provide a nomination letter issued by their home institution.

Approved students will receive access credentials to UFV’s online systems by August 7th, and classes will take place from August 10th to December 4th, 2026.

Important information

  • Only documents in English or Spanish will be accepted without translation. Documents in other languages require certified translation.
  • Course selection must relate to the applicant’s academic background.
  • The schedule for some courses will be arranged directly between professors and students.
